Tillie Lewis is an under-utilized industrial property
occupying two full city blocks at the southern entrance to the fast-growing city of Modesto.
Tillie Lewis herself was somewhat of a character / entrepreneur
/ local legend. She met an Italian tomato grower and was so impressed by his produce that she studied how to grow and can
his pomodoro tomatoes in California. In
the 1950’s, she built this class A complex as a canning plant, topping the project with a distinctive, 100 foot steel
water tower.
The park consists of 183,000 square feet of warehouses
in seven buildings with five acres of parking. Dominated by its historical tower, the project is visible for miles.
